Therapy for Children
& Young People

Helping Children, and Young Adults.

I work with children and young people using creative and age-appropriate methods such as play, art, sand tray therapy,  and mindfulness. With young children the work is often play based and it doesn't rely on or require talking. The therapeutic work takes place through the metaphor of the play and creative interventions. With young adults I will follow their lead and look forward to getting to know them, it's important that I offer a confidential trusting space so they can feel safe enough to explore and make sense of what is going on for them.

This can help children and young adults:

  • Process difficult feelings
  • Learn to understand their emotions, thoughts and behaviours
  • Express themselves safely
  • Feel calmer and more in control
  • Develop confidence and resilience
  • To communicate better with family and peers
  • To understand their identity
  • Explore their sexuality and/or gender

I work in close partnership with parents/carers, and always at the child’s pace.
